DASOTA–One of the Real Gems of Jacksonville, FL

It was my pleasure and honor to accompany Principal Jackie Cornelius and many, many parents of the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts to attend the DASOTA Wind Symphony concert at the Midwest Clinic, held in Chicago on December 14, 2011.

The DASOTA Wind Symphony, under the leadership of Maestro Sean Barrett and guest faculty members Dr. Ken Williams and Paula Thornton (among others) proudly represented Jacksonville Florida and the Duval County Schools with a superb performance at this annual assembly of highly accomplished school band and orchestra experts and students.

Quality of the photo I shot is marginal at-best (see below).   I recommend that the work of Cornelius’ high school be followed by all those interested in the Arts.  They excel in all facets of the Arts and Academics.  DASOTA is one of the real gems of Jacksonville, FL.
