One of our SUPES Academy students mentioned something to the cohort this past week that is quick and to the point, but profound.
As our work becomes more intense for kids, maybe we educators can be separated into three groups:
1. Some people think they will win and they are more likely to.
2. Some people think they will lose and they will.
3. Some people say that it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, it is how you play the game-and they will likely be the game players
Our attitudes (around winning and not game playing) are as important as the technical and academic substance we engage in for kids.
Thank you Curt Green from APS–this thought stuck with me!
