Making High Schools Great

The College Board commissioned Hart Research to conduct perceptual views study of high school students, teachers, and recent graduates.  Results are instructive.  From teachers on student engagement:
1.  students must feel valued
2.  students’ learning must be connected to something they care about or that interests them
3.  instruction must be delivered and paced through a means and at a level that are accessible to them–challenging them without frustrating them.
