The National Council on Teacher Quality has released its 2012 review of each state’s standing on their policies influencing teacher quality. As you might expect a major theme of this is how student achievement data are used in the teacher evaluation schema. This report, coupled with new perceptions among teachers on their view of uses of student achievement data are fascinating and worth a read. I will report on the teacher perception data (just revealed last week) in an upcoming blog post.
