School Communications

Today the network leadership of the Distinctive Schools is working with communications expert, Chris Horan.  See the photo attached.
During the workshop I was reminded of how seriously we must take the issues of school branding, the “brand promise” and how these issues can positively influence the following:
1.  student enrollment
2.  student and family retention
3.  teacher recruitment and retention
4.  depth of affiliation among our parents, students, teachers and others in the work we strive to do for the students
There are certainly many terrific school communications experts, and I have learned from many of them.  For me, Chris has been the most effective in helping me connect the components of school communications, branding, and managing the brand experience to the important work of teaching and learning.
