Wage Disparities in Education

Is it seems hypocritical for teacher union boss Randi Weingarten to make a yearly salary of $557,875 when she has been vocal about huge wage gaps between corporate CEOs and front line workers. In what way does the disparity in income help kids or teachers? Considering she attends events designed to bolster support for higher teacher wages, how can she justify such a hefty salary while teachers struggle? Is this a situation where someone ostensibly appears to be a part of the solution, but is in fact the root of the problem?
